Platte Tower Ascent

An Unofficial Segment

So, GPS will not pick up a tower climb. Sadly. But we can go back to simpler times. 200 ft total ascent from the “arch tree” (see below). How fast can you go up, down, or both? How many times can you do it?

“RULES”

Start at the tree that crosses the trail at the bottom of the hill below tower and the falls, close to the river. Up the trail to the tower and touch the map.

There will be three “segments”: Fastest Ascent, Fastest Descent, and Full Lap (up and then down, it is assumed that to get a lap you will not rest at the top).

Open male and female. “All-time” lists will be compiled as well.

Approximately 202 feet of ascent. 16 laps to do a vertical K. Problem is it won’t show up on your Strava account. Hope you can deal with that.

Email Brian Wandzilak, bwandzilak@gmail.com with your results. All honor system.
